Triquetra

The iconic triquetra - a symbol of infinity and the trio of three; a sacred number from pagan traditions which bled into early and remains today in contemporary Christianity.

A symbol used in medieval manuscript illuminations, these three interlinked archways of the triquetra are an iconic image of Celtic and Gothic origins. This has been hand-carved by me in ethically sourced cuttlefish bone, and cast in melted pewter at my home workshop, then filed and finished by hand with an oxidizing agent to age the metal and bring out the textures and shadows of the material and shape.

Each one is a one of a kind piece and made in traditional jewellery casting methods and rests on a sterling silver chain. Will be sent out UK 1st class or int. standard.
